We're on the hunt for a passionate, experienced Barista who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is dedicated to delivering excellent specialty coffee and outstanding customer service. Responsibilities:
- Quickly and efficiently prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks and beverages, adhering to our high standards of quality and presentation.
- Deeply understand our products in order to confidently educate customers, make personalized recommendations, and upsell as appropriate.
- Build relationships with customers in our bustling shop, learning their preferences to encourage returning patrons.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the coffee bar and workstations, while adhering to all health and safety regulations, even during peak hours.
- Cooperate with team members to ensure a smooth workflow, providing superior customer service even during high-traffic periods.
- Contribute ideas to enhance our products, service, and overall coffee shop ambiance, balancing creativity with efficiency.
- Handle cash register and POS system, processing transactions accurately and swiftly.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a barista or in a similar role in hospitality. 2 years of hospitality experience preferred, but not required.
- Knowledge of various coffee types and brewing procedures. Barista training certification is a plus.
- Strong sales skills with the ability to educate and upsell our products to our diverse customer base.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain customer relationships in a fast-paced setting.
- Detail-oriented and resourceful, with strong problem-solving skills to manage the dynamic workflow.
- Flexibility to work in various shifts, including Sundays and holidays.
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and maintaining accurate records.
