Urban Grub is seeking a hands-on General Manager with restaurant group management experience to lead our team and daily operations. We’re looking for an experienced operator who develops people, delivers exceptional hospitality, and takes ownership of the restaurant’s performance.
Since opening in 2012, Urban Grub has brought casual fine dining to Nashville’s 12South neighborhood, with fresh seafood, oysters, dry-aged steaks, and a strong wine and beverage program. Our approach is simple: put guests first, never compromise quality, and take pride in the details.
What you’ll lead
- Daily operations and service, with an active presence on the floor.
- Hiring, training, and developing managers and staff, with clear expectations and consistent accountability.
- Financial performance, including labor, purchasing, inventory, and cost controls, without sacrificing the guest experience.
- Coordination across the dining room, kitchen, bar, and private events.
- Consistent standards for hospitality, food safety, cleanliness, and execution.
What you bring
- Restaurant group management experience is required.
- A proven ability to develop strong management teams and deliver operational and financial results.
- Strong working knowledge of P&L management, labor planning, and cost controls.
- A hands-on leadership style, sound judgment, and clear, respectful communication.
- The ability to maintain high standards while building a team that takes pride in its work.
