Position Summary

The Night Shift Palletizer is responsible for stacking and organizing finished pizza dough shells for storage and shipment. This role ensures product quality, accurate counts, and compliance with food safety standards while maintaining efficiency in a fast-paced production environment. This role is night shift, Monday through Friday (typically 10-hour shifts). Friday shift includes sanitation responsibilities. Overtime may be required.


Job duties and responsibilities

  • Stack and arrange packaged pizza dough shells onto pallets according to company standards  
  • Ensure pallets are stable, properly aligned, and securely wrapped for transport  
  • Inspect packaging and product for damage, contamination, or defects   
  • Maintain accurate counts and complete required production and inventory records   
  • Label pallets correctly with product information, lot codes, and dates   
  • Operate pallet jacks, shrink wrap machines, or other equipment (if trained)  
  • Keep work area clean, organized, and compliant with sanitation standards  
  • Communicate with line operators, QA, and supervisors to ensure smooth workflow  
  • Follow FIFO (First In, First Out) practices for product rotation  
  • Assist with general production or sanitation duties as needed  
  • Perform assigned sanitation duties on Friday nights, including cleaning and sanitizing equipment, work areas, and production spaces in accordance with SSOPs 


Quality and Food Safety Requirements

  • Comply with all applicable USDA, FDA, and ODA regulations
  • Understand and follow all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), and Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOPs)
  • Report all food safety and quality concerns immediately to the Team Leader or Supervisor  
  • Maintain a clean and sanitary work environment in accordance with company and regulatory standards
  • Follow all safety guidelines, including but not limited to:
  • Lockout/Tagout (LOTO)
  • Hazard Communication (HazCom) and chemical handling procedures
  • Confined space awareness (if applicable)  
  • Proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
  • Actively support a culture of food safety, quality, and continuous improvement

 Safety Requirements

  • Follow all company safety policies and OSHA guidelines
  • Use proper lifting techniques, team lift when necessary
  • Stay alert to forklifts, pallet jacks, and moving production equipment  
  • Keep aisles, exits, and emergency paths clear
  • Report unsafe conditions, near misses, or injuries immediately
  • Operate equipment only if trained and authorized  
  • Practice good ergonomics to prevent strain or injury


Minimum Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred


General Experience

  • Experience in food production, warehouse, or manufacturing is a plus       
  • Ability to work overnight shifts and maintain attendance ·       
  • Basic math and counting skills        
  • Strong attention to detail and food safety awareness


Physical Requirements

  • Able to stand and walk on concrete for up to 12 hours.
  • Able to lift 50 pounds frequently and up to 90 pounds occasionally.
  • Stand, walk, bend, and twist for extended periods
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment
  • Comfortable working in refrigerated or variable temperature conditions.


Preferred Skills

  • Knowledge of GMP, HACCP, or food safety standards ·       
  • Experience with palletizing in a food-grade environment        
  • Experience with sanitation processes in a food production facility ·       
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills ·  
  • Ability to meet production and quality targets
