WHAT DOES A TYPICAL DAY LOOK LIKE?:

Responsibilities

As our Assistant General Manager, you'll have a seat on the management team, and assist our General Manager in the day-to-day operations of the restaurant. These are the results our Assistant General Manager will be hired to accomplish:

In this position, you'll learn the ropes as our Assistant General Manager first. But you'll have the first opportunity to move into a General Manager role by the end of the year, when our new restaurant opens!

Pay

The base salary range for this position is $50,000 - $60,000 depending on experience, with quarterly bonus potential based on sales, profitability, and completion of special projects. 

Work Schedule

This position is full-time and salaried, with a semi-set schedule that allows for flexibility. Days off are scheduled back-to-back, regularly Wednesdays and Thursdays. Our Assistant General Manager will work 5 days, and typically 45 hours per week.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Here are some of our must-haves + would-like-to-haves:

• Must be at least 21 years old
• Open availability
• At least 2 years of restaurant experience in a Assistant General Manager role, or similar
• The ability to work 45+ hours per week
• A valid driver's license & sole access to a personal vehicle
• Familiarity w/ Toast POS, SevenRooms, and 7shifts, a plus!

A BIT ABOUT US:

Wooden Paddle is a communal, wood-fired pizzeria with artsy cocktails & good-time energy. We don't take ourselves too seriously, but we take our food, drinks, and hospitality extremely seriously.

And we're growing! We're opening up another Wooden Paddle in La Grange in late 2024, 200-seat event venue (named Remi!) in late 2024, and a rooftop bar late 2026. Opportunities for growth are everywhere here!
