WHAT DOES A TYPICAL DAY LOOK LIKE?:

Responsibilities


As our General Manager you'll have a seat on our leadership team, and be at the helm of all things restaurant operations.


This position is transitionary, in that you'll work and learn the ropes as a General Manager first, hire and develop your replacement, and then do the same at our new restaurant when it opens.

Pay


The salary range for this position is $80,000 - $100,000 depending on relevant experience, with quarterly bonus potential based on sales, profitability, and completion of special projects.


Work Schedule


This position is full-time and salaried, with a semi-set schedule that allows for flexibility. Days off are scheduled back-to-back, regularly Sundays and Mondays. Our General Manager will work 5 days, and typically 50 hours per week.



JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Here are some of our must-haves + would-like-to-haves:

  • At least 3 years of high-volume restaurant experience in a General Manager role
  • At least 2 years of upscale or fine-dining experience in a General Manager role, strongly preferred
  • Multi-unit restaurant management experience, strongly preferred
  • A Bachelor's degree in hospitality management or similar, strongly preferred
  • Sommelier or Cicerone certifications, strongly preferred
  • Must be at least 21 years old
  • Must have open availability
  • Must have the ability to regularly work 50+ hours per week
  • Must have a valid driver's license + sole access to a personal vehicle


A BIT ABOUT US:


Wooden Paddle is hybrid restaurant and catering company. Our focus is communal, wood-fired comfort food and artsy cocktails. We don't take ourselves too seriously, but we take our food, drinks, and service extremely seriously.


And we're growing! We're opening up a 2nd restaurant in La Grange in early 2024, an event venue in mid 2024, and a rooftop bar in mid 2025. Opportunities for growth are everywhere here!
