Back of House Team Leader - PM

The Team Leader role exists to ensure the vision, initiatives, and operations of BOH are being executed on a daily basis while promoting the growth and development of leaders and team members. A successful Team Leader works under the direction of their Daypart Manager and Director to meet goals and leads each shift with excellence.


Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Skilled in kitchen operations
  • Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities
  • Adaptable, dependable, and team-oriented
  • Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds and stand for long periods
  • Basic reading, writing, and math skills required

Key Responsibilities

  • Maximize strengths of all employees on shifts and develop and train them as needed. Provide any training needs notes to BOH Training Manager.
  • Welcome and care for all new and current employees – Create a positive work environment.
  • Execute all systems put in place by your director team/manager team
  • Execute Huddles with all team members every day in order to report out recent results.
  • Ensure REMARKable kitchen cleanliness standards all day, every day.
  • Manage checklists for restaurant cleanliness and follow through on quality of execution.
  • Train team members to execute LEAN and waste tracking to reduce food cost.
  • Work with BOH manager team to analyze waste tracking and constantly improve food cost.
  • Train and develop team members and team leaders to work with excellence and support their holistic development in our team.
  • Ensure that you are demonstrating store organization and cleanliness as well as teaching the behaviors to team members.
  • Report any broken or missing parts/equipment in slack for repair/replacement as soon as you are notified.
  • Execute and record information on a maintenance sheet to accurately track all equipment maintenance.
  • Complete SAFE Daily Criticals and correct any findings – coach team members on food safety issues immediately.
  • Lead team in achieving business results around order accuracy, labor, food quality, etc.
  • Memorize Business Vision, Mission and Core Values – Use them to coach team members every day.
  • Document all HR Violations immediately.
