Responsibilities

  • Kitchen Operations: Oversee all aspects of back of the house operations, including food preparation, cooking, and plating. Ensure adherence to Chick-fil-A's food quality and safety standards.
  • Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels, place orders, and manage stock rotation to ensure freshness and minimize waste.
  • Scheduling and Labor Assistance: Assist in creating and maintaining staff schedules, ensuring adequate coverage while managing labor costs. Adjust schedules as needed based on business volume and staffing requirements.
  • Quality Control: Conduct regular inspections to ensure food quality, presentation, and portioning meet Chick-fil-A's standards.
  • Food Safety and Sanitation: Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation regulations. Implement and enforce proper procedures for food handling, storage, and cleanliness.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and motivate kitchen staff, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment. Set performance expectations, provide feedback, and recognize outstanding performance.
  • Communication: Effectively communicate with team members, other managers, and departments to ensure smooth operations and resolve any issues or challenges that arise.
  • Reporting and Documentation: Maintain accurate records and reports related to food inventory, wastage, labor hours, and any operational issues. Provide necessary reports to upper management.
  • Managing Back of the House Team Leaders: Provide guidance and support to BOH Team Leaders, ensuring they have the resources and tools needed to effectively lead their teams.
  • Truck Ordering and Receiving: Assist in ordering food, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries. Independently handle the unloading, organization, and storage of truck shipments if needed.


Compensation: At Chick-fil-A Woodburn, our goal is to provide fair compensation for all employees as well as clear advancement opportunities. Starting pay breakdown:

  • Manager pay $45,000 - $56,000 annually with benefits ($20.00 - $25.00 per hour DOE)
  • Full time - 32+ hours weekly

Qualifications:

  • 1 year full-time (2 years part-time) restaurant leadership and operations (BOH) experience
  • Strong knowledge of BOH roles and responsibilities.
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.
  • Ability to work flexible shifts, including mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays.
  • Cheerful and positive attitude

  • Customer service oriented
  • Works well independently and in a team environment
  • Be willing and able to work a flexible schedule
  • Have the ability to lift and carry 10-50 pounds
  • Have the ability to stand for long periods of time
  • Bilingual preferred
