Server Assistant/Busser

Part-time
Rate of pay$12 - 20 per hour

The Club Server Assistant is responsible to provide timely, accurate and friendly bread and water service to guests upon arrival and replenish as needed. Assist servers in providing smooth and efficient table maintenance before, during and after meal service. Maintaining a clean working environment as well as a professional appearance and demeanor.



Major Duties and Responsibilities: 

-Completion of all Server-Assistant Opening / Closing procedures as assigned for shift, restock supplies as needed.

-Remove soiled dishes from tables and bring to the dish washing area. 

-Communicates effectively with the Dining Room Manager, Servers and Hostess to assure efficient seating, table utilization and service.

-Observes guests and assists Servers in responding to additional guest’s requests or needs throughout their dining service.

-Maintain cleanliness in all areas of the dining room including tables, chairs, utensils, glassware, service station, coolers, kitchen and storage areas.


Additional Responsibilities: 

-Assist other team members to create an efficient and productive experience for guests. 

-Safely handle equipment, china, glassware and silver to minimize breakage and loss of Club property.

-Properly disposes of garbage and gathers soiled linen in bags and places in bins to be cleaned.

-Answer the telephone with a friendly and helpful tone, during shift when needed.


Requirements:


Required Skill/Knowledge: 

-Must be able to communicate effectively and possess a neat, clean, and professional appearance.

-Effective written and oral communication skills.

-Efficient time management skills.

-Ability to interpret and follow general instructions/diagrams to perform related duties.

-Prior Customer Service and/or Service Industry experience.

-Ability to carry/lift trays and stand/move for prolonged periods of time.


Preferred Skills/ Knowledge: 

-Previous Country Club / Fine Dining work experience.

-Experience working within a fast paced environment.


Education Level / Required Certification: 

-Some High School.

-Completion of Food Handlers Safety & Training Course


Problem Solving: 

-Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.

-Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
