Job Description

At Chick-fil-A, the Facility Lead role is more than just maintenance—it’s ownership of the restaurant environment. The Facility Lead is responsible for the overall upkeep, cleanliness, and maintenance of the entire restaurant, ensuring both interior and exterior spaces meet the highest standards. This role plays a critical part in protecting the brand, supporting operations, and creating a safe and inviting experience for guests and team members. In addition to facility responsibilities, this role may support daily operations in Front of House, Back of House, and drive-thru as needed.

Facility Lead Responsibilities

 

S.E.R.V.E Model Expectations

•  Serve with Hospitality: Ensure the restaurant environment is clean, safe, and welcoming for every guest and team member

Facility Maintenance & Upkeep

•  Own the overall cleanliness and condition of the restaurant, both interior and exterior

•  Perform routine and deep cleaning tasks, including power washing, window cleaning, floors, walls, restrooms, dining areas, and kitchen spaces

•  Maintain sidewalks, parking areas, trash enclosures, and exterior appearance

•  Ensure all areas are consistently clean, organized, and inspection-ready

 

Cleaning & Sanitation Standards

•  Sweep, mop, scrub, and deep clean all areas of the restaurant on a scheduled basis

•  Ensure proper use, storage, and labeling of cleaning chemicals

•  Maintain sanitation of high-touch areas, equipment, and surfaces

•  Support dishwashing and cleaning of kitchen tools and equipment as needed

 

Equipment & Facility Management

•  Conduct routine checks on equipment, lighting, plumbing, and overall facility condition

•  Identify and report maintenance issues proactively

•  Perform minor repairs and coordinate with leadership or vendors for larger repairs

•  Ensure proper upkeep of equipment such as pressure washers, cleaning tools, and maintenance supplies

 

Operations Support

•  Support FOH, BOH, and drive-thru operations during peak times or as needed

•  Assist with inventory organization, stocking, and overall restaurant readiness

•  Maintain organization of storage areas, janitorial closets, and supply rooms

 

Leadership & Accountability

•  Take full ownership of facility standards and hold a high level of accountability

•  Identify opportunities to improve cleanliness, efficiency, and maintenance processes

•  Support training and accountability for cleanliness standards across the team

•  Ensure all cleaning and maintenance tasks are completed consistently and to standard

 

Qualifications and Requirements

•  Strong attention to detail and pride in cleanliness and organization

•  Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work independently

•  Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physical tasks throughout the shift

•  Comfortable working with cleaning equipment and chemicals

•  Ability to work in indoor and outdoor environments

•  Strong work ethic and positive attitude

•  Flexible availability, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends
