As a Host/Shift Lead at Supreme Dumplings, you’ll be at the forefront of our restaurant operations, managing guest flow, greeting and seating customers, and ensuring a smooth dining experience. In this leadership role, you’ll also help guide the team, support staff, and maintain a positive, efficient environment. We’re looking for a passionate, experienced individual who values Asian cuisine and is committed to delivering outstanding service while leading by example.
Job Description:
- Greet and welcome guests with a friendly and enthusiastic smile
- Manage guest flow efficiently, ensuring smooth reservations and waitlist, optimal table assignments during busy periods, and utilizing yelp guest manager.
- Address guest inquires and requests promptly, with a high level of professionalism, courtesy, and timely service.
- Lead by example, maintaining a positive and composed demeanor during high-volume periods, while assisting the team.
- Supervise and guide team members during your shift, offering support where needed for great customer service.
- Keeping the dining area and service stations clean, organized, and well-stocked
- Handle guest concerns or issues professionally, ensuring resolution with a focus on creating a positive experience.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations, company policies, and guidelines.
- Be punctual and reliable, timely arrival for shifts and providing leadership to the team during peak hours.
- Assist with training new staff and helping them integrate into the team to maintain high standards.
- Perform any additional daily admin tasks with management to improve team efficiency and restaurant operations.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in customer service role of 1+ years, preferably in a lead position. (Host, Server, Shift Lead)
- Strong communication and multitasking abilities, ability to engage and interact with a diverse range of guests and team members.
- Ability to multitask and work in a high-volume and fast-paced environment.
- Ability to lead a team, provide guidance and support while cultivating a positive culture.
- Familiarity with restaurant operations, including seating arrangements, customer flow, and service standards.
- Must have a food handlers permit/card.
- Must be 21 years or older if preparing alcoholic beverages. (Require a servsafe alcohol permit)
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
- Ability work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.
