Dining Room Host

The dining room host is responsible for supporting and contributing to an exceptional guest experience from the point of first engagement by providing a clean and comfortable atmosphere. Those who are selected to serve in this position accomplish this by helping to maintain a clean dining experience for guests, being aware of guest needs, observing when guest expectations may have not been met, and doing what is necessary to provide a REMARKABLE experience for our guests.


Position Details:

  • Part-time
  • Pay: $12-14/hr
  • Shift Times: 10:30am to 3pm (available Monday through Wednesday) or 4pm to 9pm (available Monday through Saturday)
  • Must be 18+ years old

Dining Room Host Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a clean dining experience for the guests to include (but not limited to): cleaning the tables, sweeping & mopping the floors in the dining room, emptying trash compactors, cleaning restrooms
  • Ensure guests are promptly greeted upon entering the restaurant
  • Ensure use of brand standard practices when interacting with guests
  • Anticipate guests' needs such as assisting with children, refreshing beverages, and assisting guests with all condiments and other items needed for their meal
  • During high volume times, provide guidance and instruction to guests to ensure they understand our queuing and ordering process including introducing the table delivery service
  • Provide regular feedback to team leaders and managers as needed on dining room conditions and customer concerns
  • Confirm order accuracy and deliver meals to guests when possible and have ketchup, straws, and napkins readily available when the food is delivered
  • Perform a table touch with each guest to ensure they have everything needed and provide an offer to refresh beverages
  • Check with each table as they finish their meal and offer to refresh beverages and remove any waste from the table
  • When possible, assist dining room team members with cleaning the tables and floors around the tables when guests leave the restaurant
  • Always represent the values of Chick-fil-A and the operator, and thank guests for choosing to dine with us before they depart
