Our main focus is customer service. We aim to greet and help every single customer that walks through our doors. The primary responsibilities of the Sales Associate - Part Time are to maintain outstanding customer service, generate sales, merchandise product, and support the store management team. Other areas of interest that may apply based on interest and experience include cashiering, marketing, special events, training, and more. Major Responsibilities
- Providing all customers with excellent customer service
- Directing and assisting customers as they enter the store
- Maintaining awareness of all promotions and advertisements
- Executing the daily operational goals and priorities assigned by store management
- Upholding merchandising and store cleanliness standards
- Participating in the processing of new shipments and helping the team to keep the receiving and back stock area clean and organized
- Assisting customers in locating merchandising in store, providing expert advice, and making sure their needs are taken care of
- Soliciting customers to open an Ace Rewards card
- Projecting a positive attitude
Education/Training:
- High School degree; some college preferred but not required
- Possess a vast product knowledge of hardware related products along with a willingness to learn
Experience:
- Previous experience in a retail environment
- Experience establishing relationships and working with customers
Skills/Knowledge:
- A commitment to service, excellence, and customer satisfaction
- Knowledge of basic technology; POS systems a plus
- Solid team player with excellent interpersonal skills
- Excellent communication skills, exceptional organizational ability, and high attention to detail
- Ability to multitask
- Ability and willingness to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends and holidays to meet the needs of the business
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for an extended period of time
- Ability to move and lift merchandise and fixtures
- Ability to lift 50lbs
