REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be able to work a full school day (8 hours), 5 days a week
  • Pediatric/School experience is preferred but not required
  • Ability to perform work that requires frequent standing, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, moving, lifting patients and/or equipment up to 50 pounds is required
  • Current CPR certification is required (can be obtained/renewed after hired)
  • FL OT License required


RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide high-quality, school-based Occupational Therapy services to students
  • Maintain all documentation required by the district including daily notes, monthly summaries, and annual IEPs
  • Serve as an IEP team member by attending meetings and submitting paperwork as needed to maintain compliance with federal, state, and school guidelines
  • Communicate effectively with students, caregivers, supervisors, and providers of other disciplines
  • Collaborate with fellow therapists and team members
  • Exhibit patience, kindness, and respect for others
  • Demonstrate excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Be flexible and adaptable
