Our outpatient therapy clinic is seeking a Licensed Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) who enjoys working with both adults and/or children in a supportive, collaborative environment. This role provides the opportunity to treat a diverse outpatient caseload, helping patients improve mobility, strength, and independence through evidence-based therapy.

Responsibilities

  • Provide outpatient physical therapy treatments under the supervision of a Physical Therapist
  • Implement individualized treatment plans to improve mobility, strength, balance, and functional independence
  • Assist with therapeutic exercise programs, neuromuscular re-education, and functional mobility training
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in EMR
  • Collaborate with therapists and educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs

Typical Caseload

  • Mix of adult orthopedic patients and/or pediatric cases
  • Common conditions include post-surgical rehab, orthopedic injuries, balance disorders, developmental delays, and mobility challenges
  • 40 minute treatment sessions, providing 1:1 patient care
  • Collaborative care with PT, OT, SLP and ABA therapy providers

Required Qualifications — Please Apply Only If You Meet These

  • Current Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) license in Florida
  • Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
  • Experience treating patients in a clinical, outpatient, or rehabilitation setting
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work with patients of different ages

Applicants without a current PTA license will not be considered.

Preferred

  • Outpatient orthopedic experience
  • Experience working with pediatric or mixed-age populations
  • Experience with therapeutic exercise, balance training, and functional mobility programs
