Position Overview:
We’re seeking an experienced and dynamic General Manager to lead our team and uphold the high standards of Slyman’s Tavern. The ideal candidate is a motivated professional with a passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences while driving operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily operations, ensuring smooth service and customer satisfaction.
- Recruit, train, and mentor staff, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Develop and implement operational strategies to maximize profitability and efficiency.
- Manage budgets, financial reports, and inventory control.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and licensing regulations.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with guests and the local community.
· Develop and implement strategies to increase revenue and manage expenses.
- Foster a positive, collaborative workplace culture.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a General Manager or in a similar leadership role in the restaurant/hospitality industry.
- Strong understanding of restaurant operations, including front-of-house and back-of-house functions.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage financial performance and operational KPIs effectively.
- Commitment to delivering outstanding guest service.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
