Accounting Clerk

Yellow Cab Columbus is currently searching for a detail-orientated, reliable Accounting Clerk to support our finance department and help maintain accurate daily financial records. You will assist with day-to-day bookkeeping, data entry, accounts receivable and general administrative duties.

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required; an Associate’s degree or coursework in accounting, finance, or business is preferred
- 0 to 2+ years of experience in an office, bookkeeping, or administrative accounting role
- Proficient in Excel, Word and Adobe PDF
- Communication skills
- Customer service experience preferred
- Ability to multi-task
Responsibilities:
- Data Entry & Recordkeeping: Enter daily financial transactions, vendor invoices, receipts, and payments into the accounting system with high accuracy
- Accounts Receivable (AR): Generate and send customer invoices, record incoming payments, and follow up on overdue or outstanding balances
- Reconciliations: Reconcile bank and credit card statements against general ledger records to identify and resolve discrepancies
- Filing & Compliance: Maintain organized physical and digital filing systems for all financial documents, receipts, and compliance records
- Reporting & Auditing Support: Assist the accounting team and accountants in preparing monthly expense summaries, financial reports, and audit documentation
- Communication: Answer vendor or client inquiries regarding billing, payments, and account status professionally
