As our Assistant Spa Operations Manager, you will assist and support the Spa Operations Manager with the direction and organization of the activities of the Spa staff and operations to ensure that the highest quality standards are met for all Spa services and experiences provided, efficiency in all spa operations the training and re-training of all associates. Maintain open lines of communication with other managers, associates, and departments. Resolve guest complaints quickly and efficiently and to the guest’s satisfaction. This role will contribute to the organization as an active business partner that is responsible for supporting the company's goals, objectives, vision, mission, and values.

Typical day in the life as an Assistant Spa Operations Manager:
- Continuously evaluate the performance and encourage improvement of Spa personnel
- Manage daily business operations of the Front Desk, Locker Rooms, and staff with a “hands-on” approach, covering shifts as needed or as business levels demand. Know in detail all opening and closing responsibilities.
- Assist in greeting and welcoming guests to the Spa, providing information for any inquiries, helps to coordinate all guests for group reservations and all guest requests for services and maintains impeccable cleanliness of the spa.
- Maintain an open line of communication between guests, management, and the employees.
- Manage key administrative processes for the spa such as computer scheduling system, entering new associates, services, and group contracts.
- Collaborate with Hotel Management and support to ensure best guest experience for hotel guests seeking spa services.
- Collaborate with Event Management and support staff to ensure the best guest experience for event guests seeking spa services.
- Assist in implementing effective cost control of supplies, support services and labor costs among all sub-departments.
- Assist support managers in achieving predetermined standards of service quality, cleanliness, stock, merchandising and promotions.
- Monitor operating supplies for the department and generate necessary purchase requisitions.
- Handle problems or complaints from guests. Demonstrate respect, sensitivity, and concern for guests’ needs in a professional manner.
- Develop and maintain Spa Procedure Manual and ensure compliance of front desk/concierge and all licensed staff
- Conduct regular formal and informal spa staff meetings for purposes of informing, training, and inspiring staff, including “Daily Line Ups.”
What are we looking for?
- Regular attendance in conformance with the standards, which may be established by Gervasi Management team from time to time, is essential to the successful performance of this position. Employees with irregular attendance will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment.
- Due to the cyclical nature of the Spa Service industry, employees may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the business.
- Knowledge of overseeing Spa staff front desk/reservations operations.
- Requires high energy, passion, and drive for the Spa and Salon industry.
- Upon employment, all employees are required to fully comply with State/Local and GV Destination rules and regulations for compliance with stated policies, safe/efficient operations and required regulatory compliance. Employees who violate such requirements will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment.
- Minimum of 21 years of age.
- Excellent communication skills, an eye for detail and the ability to multi-task.
- Able to work all shifts and flexible schedules including select evenings, regular weekends, and Holidays.
- Abide by all State, Federal and Corporate Liquor regulations pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages to minors and intoxicated guests.
