What You'll Do:
Our MR/CT Tech Assistant performs a vital support role in our imaging department, interacting daily with Lumina staff, referring providers, physicians, patients, and visitors. Your responsibilities will include maintaining imaging rooms, assisting patients, assisting MR/CT Technologists, and contributing to the overall patient experience, all while gaining valuable exposure in the medical imaging field. This position offers a gateway to a long-term career in medical imaging and opportunities for advancement within Lumina Imaging. Adheres to all safety practices required to provide a safe environment for patients and staff. Actively supports all of Lumina Imaging operations. Demonstrates outstanding customer service and ensures a positive patient experience during all facets of the visit. - Contributes to patient safety
- Performs a variety of procedures related to the use of Magnetic Resonance Imaging equipment and Computed Tomography equipment
- Provides appropriate patient services
- Performs computer functions as needed
- Ensures appropriate patient registration, scheduling, and discharge as needed
- Ensures scan room, workstation and computer console are neat, orderly, accurately supplied and dated (as necessary).
- Maintains and rotates supplies and inventory.
- Assists Lumina staff as necessary and/or requested.
- Assists with the coordination and allocation of departmental workflow and participates in departmental activities as required.
- Demonstrates a customer service orientation, meeting the expectations of internal and external customers in person and via telephone encounters.
- Supports organizational change and changes in workflow processes and communication services.
- Suggests improvements and participates in organized efforts to improve service levels.
- Handles multiple tasks effectively and efficiently.
- Works effectively as a team member by offering support and/or ideas to enable the group to reach group goals. Uses collaborative approach to problem solving.
- Orients employees to practice operations as requested.
- Performs routine office procedures as needed.
- Keeps abreast of technological development via meetings and seminars.

What We're Looking For:
- Radiology students are welcome to apply
- High School Diploma or GED required
- BLS Certification from the American Heart Association (or obtains during the standard probationary period)
- Exceptional customer service, communication, and teamwork skills
- Knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy
- 1 or more years of experience in either a healthcare or radiology environment preferred
