Manufacturing Maintenance Technician
Job Type: Full-Time
Pay: Based on experience
Shift: 7:00am – 3:00pm Monday - Friday
Position Summary
Maval is looking for an experienced Manufacturing Maintenance Technician to oversee maintenance activities and keep production equipment operating safely and efficiently.
The ideal candidate will have strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills, PLC experience, and the ability to diagnose and repair industrial equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform daily maintenance activities.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment.
- Perform preventive and routine maintenance.
- Troubleshoot 120V, 220V, 240V, and 480V single- and three-phase systems.
- Troubleshoot and maintain motors, drives, PLCs, control panels, and industrial control systems.
- Use PLC ladder logic and troubleshoot
- Read and understand electrical schematics, blueprints, and mechanical drawings.
- Diagnose equipment problems and identify root causes.
- Maintain building and facility systems, including HVAC, lighting, plumbing, compressed air, doors, docks, conveyors, and other infrastructure.
- Maintain spare parts, tools, and maintenance supplies.
- Work with Purchasing to order parts and maintain proper inventory levels.
- Coordinate with contractors when specialized repairs are needed.
- Work with Production, Quality, Safety, and Engineering to minimize equipment downtime.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and work orders.
- Conduct safety inspections and correct hazards.
- Follow and enforce LOTO, PPE, OSHA, and company safety requirements.
- Maintain a clean and organized maintenance area using 5S practices.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 3–5 years of industrial maintenance experience in manufacturing.
- At least 5 years of electrical and mechanical maintenance experience.
Strong experience with:
- Hydraulic and pneumatic systems
- PLCs and industrial controls
- Electrical troubleshooting
- 480V three-phase systems
- Knowledge of 120V, 220V, 240V, and 480V electrical systems.
- Ability to read electrical and mechanical schematics.
- Knowledge of applicable safety codes.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to prioritize multiple maintenance needs.
- Current driver’s license (to drive company vehicles)

- Frequently stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb ladders, and work at various heights.
- May work in confined spaces.
- Must follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE.
