PARAGON (www.discoverparagon.com) is an innovative company that specializes in consultation, supply and installation of architectural door, frame and hardware packages and access control systems for premier hospitality projects across the nation.
We are excited to add a Full-time Assistant Estimator to our amazing team! The Assistant Estimator assists in preparing door, frame, hardware, and electronic card lock proposals for new construction hotels. The candidate is responsible for reviewing and analyzing plans and specifications, creating takeoffs, generating vendor RFPs, internal collaboration with project managers and account managers, and drafting proposals for review.

Pay: $60,000-$70,000 depending on experience

The ideal candidate for Assistant Estimator is:
- Knowledgeable in commercial hollow metal doors and frames, wood doors, and contract hardware
- Knowledgeable in basic access control
- Familiar with basic fire, ADA and egress code requirements
- Familiar with hotel brand standards
- Able to navigate and understand blueprints and specifications
- Proficient with price multipliers, discounts, markups, and margins
- Detail oriented, accurate, organized, and motivated.
What are we looking for?
- Minimum of (1) Years of Commercial Construction Estimation Experience (Any Trade)
- Commercial Door, Frame and Hardware experience is a plus
- Knowledge of commercial construction life-cycle, materials, and methods
- Excellent mathematical skills
- Highly organized, detailed, and accurate
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Able to multi-task and handle high volume with strict deadlines
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and general computer skills
- Capable of quick adoption of Paragon takeoff and proposal software
