Store Manager
Plato’s Closet is looking for a Store Manager who can run the show — from buying and merchandising to leading the team and crushing sales goals!
This Plato’s Closet location is locally owned by a Canton, Ohio native. Plato’s Closet is part of a nationwide network of retail stores that buy and sell teenage clothing. We stock the latest looks in clothing and accessories from the hottest brand-name designers for girls and guys.
What You’ll Do
You’ll own the store. That means:
- Train and develop team while upholding productivity and performance standards for all staff.
- Evaluate staff performance on an on-going basis.
- Complete work schedules for staff while considering store needs, sales, buys and efficiency.
- Train and provide an excellent example to staff on all TMG standards and processes.
- Motivate staff to meet and exceed sales and financial goals set by the company.
- Create a positive store experience by greeting customers and creating a fun and convenient place for our customers to shop.
- Maintain loss prevention, cash register, opening and closing procedures, accounting and reconciliation functions.
- Monitor labor efficiency.
- Become familiar with brands, products and prices. Learn the ins and outs of buying merchandise & selling in a retail environment.
- Buy used clothing and accessories from customers
- Promote our store: Quickly build relationships with customers and tell them about promotions, explain the selling process and ask customers to sell to us.
- Tag incoming product and restock sales floor
- Maintain store environment, creating an organized, fun and inviting place to shop. Be creative and put displays together, along with keeping the merchandise neat and shoppable.
What We’re Looking For
- At least 2 years of retail supervisory experience required
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Style conscious and fluent in the latest trends for teens and twenty-something’s
- ENERGETIC, friendly, and helpful attitude
- Honest, dependable, self-motivated, and a strong sense of responsibility
- Perform duties with minimal direct supervision after training
- Have a team mindset
- Engaged and Curious
- Communicate effectively, kindly, and honestly
- Flexible availability including nights and weekends.
- Basic computer skills and/or POS register system experience required.
Pay: Start at $20-25/hour based on experience + bonus opportunities
