Shredding Technician

River Mill Data Management is a full-service commercial records center based in Columbus, Georgia, specializing in secure information management and disposal for businesses and residents in West, Central, and South Georgia, as well as East Alabama.
We are looking for a full-time Shredding Technician to collect, transport, and securely shred confidential documents while providing excellent customer service.

What We’re Looking For:
- High school diploma or GED required
- Valid driver’s license required with a clean driving record required
- Valid CDL required
- Ability to travel 70-90% of the time, including overnight and out-of-state as needed
- 2+ years of commercial driving required
- Ability to lift up to 100 pounds and safely load/unload materials
- Comfortable standing, walking, climbing in and out of trucks, and working in various weather conditions
- Strong communication, organization, and time management skills
- Must pass 7-year Federal, state, and county-level background check
- Must pass DOT physical and drug screen
What You’ll Do:
- Pick up confidential documents from customer locations and transport them safely for shredding and recycling
- Operate and maintain industrial shredding equipment and company vehicles.
- Prepare documents for shredding by removing materials such as binder clips and ring binders.
- Ensure shredded materials are properly collected and recycled.
- Complete work orders accurately and communicate route updates with the office.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Follow all company safety procedures, confidentiality policies, and DOT regulations
- Provide professional, friendly customer service at all client locations.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
