Survey Crew Chief/Instrument Operator

Sands Decker, a civil engineering and land surveying firm, is seeking a Survey Crew Chief/Instrument Operator to work in our Columbus office. Why join the talented Sands Decker team? - Pay: $30- $40/hour, offer based on experience
The ideal candidate will have:
- Valid driver’s license required
- 5+ years of experience as a field supervisor
- Detailed oriented
- AutoCAD,3D laser, and Aerial Drone experience is a plus
- Must pass a background check and drug test (We are an Ohio Drug-Free Workplace)
- Time management skills
Our Survey Crew Chief/Instrument Operator will:
- Preform boundary, topographic, ALTA, construction, and utility surveys.
- Operate robotic total stations, GPS, and related survey equipment.
- Collect accurate field data using point codes and line-work methods.
- Read and interpret construction plans and survey documents.
- Ensure proper setup and accurate use of survey instruments.
- Work independently and as part of a team to complete projects on time.
