The Legacy Hotel is seeking a dynamic and creative Director of Sales & Marketing. This role is responsible for developing and implementing sales and marketing strategies to drive revenue and increase market share.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze market and accordingly create action plans for each segment
- Call new prospects drive both new and repeat business, articulate sales performance to the General Manager, and Corporate Office.
- Solicit, negotiate and book new and repeat business through various efforts
- Develop and continually enhance relationships with key accounts to maintain and increase our market share
- Maintain consistent and timely verbal and written communication with clients
- Identify marketing strategy for each market segment with a full Marketing Plan
- Analyze historical, current and future hotel trends, and market trends
- Create selling strategies to capture the maximum amount of revenue to meet/exceed sales goals.
- Lead and manage a team of sales and marketing professionals to achieve sales targets
- Communicate effectively to entire team on sales clients, groups, VIP guests, etc.
- Build and maintain relationships with key clients and partners to drive business growth
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure alignment and effective implementation of sales and marketing strategies

The Legacy Hotel will feature four distinctive dining and event experiences:
Lily Jean’s | Privato | La Vista | Locale at the Legacy Event Center
Strong, high-end restaurant leadership experience is essential.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in sales and marketing leadership roles, preferably in the hospitality industry
- Previous Marriott experience is a plus
- Experience with hotel reservation and revenue management systems
- Ability to complete in-person sales visits to clients
- Strong understanding of sales and marketing principles, including market research and analysis
- Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and direct a team
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships
- Ability to analyze market trends and competitor activity, and develop effective sales and marketing strategies
