SENIOR FOOD TECHNOLOGIST
Yost Foods, Inc. is seeking a full-time Senior Food Technologist to support new product development, product duplication, application testing, and related product innovation activities. This role is critical in developing safe, high-quality food solutions by improving product composition, flavor, color, texture, and nutritional value to meet customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
- Drive product development projects from concept through commercialization, including prototypes, product duplications, bench development, application testing, and process optimization.
- Manage project priorities, timelines, documentation, and multiple assignments independently and collaboratively while ensuring accuracy and follow-through.
- Evaluate and improve product attributes such as composition, flavor, color, texture, and nutritional value while ensuring products meet food safety, quality, customer, and project requirements.
- Partner cross-functionally with Sales, Procurement, Customer Service, Commercialization, Operations, Quality Assurance, Regulatory, and key suppliers to support successful product launches and problem resolution.
- Provide technical expertise to customers and support the Sales Team with customer-focused product solutions.
- Provide technical support to Quality Assurance, Production, and other departments as needed.
- Assist with training and mentoring Product Development new hires and interns.
- Communicate clearly and effectively with customers, sales account managers, vendors, management, and related departments.
Knowledge & Expertise:
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Biology, or related field
- 5–7 years of experience in food research & development, or a combination of education and experience
- Experience with Ready-to-Eat and Aw/pH-controlled products preferred
- Culinary experience preferred
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office with the flexibility to learn SAP, ERP systems, and document control systems
- Strong project, time management, written communication, and verbal communication skills with the ability to work effectively with vendors, management, co-workers, and customers
- Ability to organize, prioritize, and manage multiple assignments effectively
