Bowling Mechanic

Summary/Objective

The Mechanic will assist our Head Mechanic in the upkeep and maintenance of our pin spotters, lane equipment, and attractions.

Essential Functions

1. Diagnostics and repair of pinsetter equipment
2. Preventive maintenance of pinsetter machines and lanes
3. Oiling lanes with Lane Machine, performing maintenance and upkeep of Lane Machine
4. Track and log daily procedures
5. Responsible for daily, weekly, and monthly pinsetter maintenance
6. Assists Game Room Tech with repairs and maintenance of amusement equipment and bumper cars as needed
7. Follows all safety policies and procedures to eliminate the possibility of injury to oneself and others
8. Help guests find the correct bowling equipment, including balls, ramps, and shoes
9. Keep all bowling lanes free and clear of debris, spills, and trash; maintain the cleanliness of tables and chairs on the lanes
10. Check and empty trash at regular intervals
11. Work with guest services to communicate lane issues, availability, and customer needs.
12. Keep the workshop clean and orderly
13. Performs other related duties as required

This position has no supervisory responsibility

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here represent those that an employee must meet to perform the essential functions of this job successfully.

Sit, stand, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, squat, reach, push/pull, and lift/carry objects up to 50 pounds. Tolerant of possible exposure to extreme hot or cold temperatures for an hour or more, exposure to high noise levels

Required Education and Experience

1. Must be at least 18 years of age.
2. Ability to read, write, and speak English
3. Positive customer service attitude
4. Technical and mathematical skills required
5. Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
6. Ability to read and apply instructions

Preferred Education and Experience

1. Two years of Bowling Center experience is highly preferred.
2. Electrical and Mechanical experience is preferred.
