A Kitchen Manager/Chef is expected to guide and support their team, maintain a clean and organized workspace, provide expert culinary direction, manage food costs, and ensure a smooth and enjoyable dining experience for guests.

Responsibilities of a Kitchen Manager / Chef
- Recruiting, training, and evaluating kitchen staff
- Supervising and mentoring cooks, prep staff, and dishwashers
- Managing food and labor budgets
- Maintaining accurate inventory, waste logs, and kitchen records
- Handling guest issues or food-quality concerns when necessary
- Overseeing food purchasing, stock rotation, and cost control
- Maximizing kitchen productivity and minimizing waste
- Motivating staff to meet quality and timing standards
- Setting production goals and maintaining menu consistency
- Ensuring compliance with all food-safety, sanitation, and health regulations
- Supporting menu planning, specials, plating standards, and promotions
- Communicating effectively with management and front-of-house teams
