Job Summary:
The Fast Food Team Member will provide exceptional guest service and support while working with Restaurant Managers and other Team Members to maintain operational standards and procedures.

Duties/Responsibilities:
• Greets guests with a smile and interacts with customers. Maintains a calm demeanor during periods of high volume.
• Consults with customers to understand their needs and preferences. Demonstrates and explains merchandise, suggesting options suitable for the customer’s needs. Assists customers with purchase decisions.
• Answers customer’s questions about merchandise. Uses suggestive selling techniques to boost store sales and increase guest satisfaction. Responds appropriately to customer issues.
• Operates cash register or point of sale devices, as needed. Uses value-added suggestive-selling techniques to generate additional sales opportunities. Collects payment using the store point of sale system.
• Verifies the accuracy of guests’ orders. Processes returns and exchanges.
• Unloads and stocks inventory items as needed. Retrieves merchandise from stockroom.
• Cleans kitchen area, counters, food preparation areas, and utensils. Maintains health and safety standards in work areas.
• Cleans dining room, restroom and exterior grounds. Clears, cleans and sanitizes tables, maintains, cleans and sanitizes work stations and restaurant equipment.
• Performs duties at multiple workstations within the store, to include cashier, guest services, drive through and prep/cook. Expected to learn multiple areas and rotate according to store needs.
• Prepare and serve drinks and foods according to store specifications. Refill condiments and supplies.
• Assist with food preparation as directed, operating food production equipment such as grill, broiler and/or deep fryer as required to complete tasks.
• Prepare and arrange food according to restaurant standards and instructions provided. Cooks and packages food appropriately, verifying the quality and quantity of orders.
• Prompt and regular attendance on required shifts.
• Maintains a clean and polished appearance. Adheres to uniform and dress code policies.
• Exhibits team effectiveness. Works with others to achieve store goals.
• Communicates positively with management, customers and other team members.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
• Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent active listening skills. Ability to learn quickly.
• Understanding of or ability to learn basic sanitation and regulations for workplace safety, food handling techniques, preparation and cooking procedures.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. Ability to work as part of a team.
• Ability to anticipate customers’ needs and resolve customer issues with tact.
• Ability to operate or to quickly learn the store’s point-of-sale system.
Education and Experience:
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous retail experience preferred.
• On-the-job training provided.
Physical Requirements:
• Prolonged periods of standing and walking throughout the retail space.
• Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times.
