Job title: Laundry Attendant
Reports to: Housekeeping Supervisor
Job purpose
To ensure that all housekeeping and food and beverage linens are processed in a timely manner and in accordance with hotel and brand standards.
Responsibilities
• Sort and place soiled linen in proper bins.
• Examine laundered items thoroughly for stains, tears, etc.
• Re-wash or discard heavily soiled or stained items making sure to list all items being discard for management and accounting purposes.
• Neatly fold, arrange and stock all clean linen for distribution.
• Assist with monthly linen inventory as requested.
• Notify housekeeping management of any supplies needed or damage to equipment.
• Ensure laundry area is free of safety hazards and that all duties are performed in a safe and efficient manner.
• Ability to maintain productivity standards at all times.
• Thorough knowledge of laundry equipment, its proper use and chemical.
• Ensure that all linen, as per company policy, is properly put through the ironer.
Guest Relations
• Is proactive and demonstrates a sense of urgency when dealing with guest concerns.
• Is readily available and approachable to all guests.
• Interact with guests on a frequent basis to obtain feedback about their experience.
• Anticipate the needs of large groups or high profile guests in order to deliver flawless service.
Team Interaction
• Encourage and build mutual respect and cooperation among team members.
• Communicate effectively with all property team members.
• Respond in a timely manner to all members of the Management Team.
• Be professional and courteous towards team members at all times.

• Ensure that all brand standards are adhered to and that the brand culture is promoted within the department.
• Adhere to safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for all team members.
Qualifications
• Prior laundry experience preferred.
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time.
• Ability to push, pull, lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to clearly communicate in basic English.
• Able to professionally handle guest complaints.
• Able to work effectively and efficiently with all departments.
• Willing to work flexible hours to include weekends, holidays and late nights.
• Maintain a professional appearance at all times.
• Able to multitask and work in a fast paced environment.
• MUST have a passion for providing “excellent” customer service experience.
