Contents and Facilities Project Manager

Position Summary

The Project Manager leads field production activities for commercial and residential restoration projects. This role oversees mitigation, contents handling (pack-outs), cleaning, storage, documentation, and project completion while ensuring compliance with company, insurance, and IICRC standards. The Project Manager serves as the primary point of contact for customers, manages project costs and quality, supports estimating, and is responsible for warehouse organization, inventory, equipment, and vehicle maintenance.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Manage residential and commercial restoration projects from start to finish.
  • Review work orders, prepare equipment and materials, and ensure crews arrive ready to perform assigned work.
  • Coordinate, supervise, and monitor project progress while maintaining quality, productivity, and cost control.
  • Communicate with customers, obtain contract approvals, and resolve project-related issues.
  • Document all job activity with accurate notes, photos, personnel, resources, and billable events in company software.
  • Explain restoration processes, timelines, and salvage opportunities to customers.
  • Coordinate pack-outs, storage, cleaning, move-backs, and non-salvage documentation.
  • Work with adjusters, customers, and internal teams to resolve questions and project concerns.
  • Perform quality assurance inspections, obtain customer approvals, and support timely billing.
  • Assist Estimators by providing accurate project information and supporting Xactimate estimates.
  • Maintain warehouse organization, consumable inventory, equipment, and company vehicles.
  • Follow and enforce company safety procedures, including proper PPE usage.
  • Participate in the on-call rotation as needed.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred.
  • Experience in insurance restoration and/or construction.
  • Basic knowledge of building materials and property damage caused by water, fire, smoke, wind, and related losses.
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
  • Strong leadership, communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, work independently, lead a team, and meet deadlines.

Preferred Certifications

  • FSRT – Fire & Smoke Restoration Technician
  • OCT – Odor Control Technician

Physical Requirements

  • Frequently lift, carry, push, or pull up to 70 pounds.
  • Stand, walk, bend, squat, crawl, and crouch for extended periods.
  • Wear required PPE, including respirators and gloves, when necessary.
  • Work in both indoor and outdoor environments with varying conditions.
