Job Title: Sales Associate - Shop Parts (Part-Time)
Department: Service Center / Small Engine Repair
Reports To: Shop Manager / Store Manager
Pay Range: $12.00 – $14.00 per hour
Schedule: Part-Time (15–28 hours per week)
Job Summary:
The Shop Parts Sales Associate supports the operations of the service center by assisting customers with equipment parts, basic repairs,
and equipment assembly. This role is responsible for providing technical guidance, maintaining inventory accuracy, and ensuring the shop is organized and clean. The ideal candidate will have basic mechanical knowledge, strong customer service skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist customers in identifying and locating the correct parts for their equipment needs.
Perform basic equipment repairs such as replacing pull cords, spark plugs, and sharpening chains and blades.
Support inventory management by checking stock levels and preparing for seasonal demand.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the service shop area.
Answer phone calls, take messages, and provide general information about parts and repair services.
Contact customers when repair work has been completed by the Mechanic.
Receive and stock incoming parts and supplies.
Assemble store stock of Stihl Power Equipment and other tools as needed.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Basic mechanical skills and interest in small engine equipment repair.
Ability to communicate clearly and provide excellent customer service.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Comfortable using basic hand tools and small power equipment.
Physically able to lift up to 40 lbs and stand for extended periods.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Work Schedule:
Part-time position with flexible scheduling between 15 to 28 hours per week. Availability during weekends and seasonal peaks preferred.
