We're looking for a friendly cashier to join our team at Wok to Walk. You'll take orders, assemble bowls, handle transactions, and help create a great experience for our customers in a high-volume setting.
Schedule
- Typically 3-5 days per week
- Shifts: Day (11:00 AM or 11:45 AM - 4:30 PM) or Evening (4:30 PM - 9:00/10:00 PM)
- Most new cashiers start on day shifts
- Weekend availability required
- Schedule varies based on business needs
Store Hours: Mon-Thu: 11 AM - 8 PM | Fri-Sat: 10 AM - 9 PM | Sun: 11 AM - 7 PM
Pay: $15-21/hour total ($15 base + $4-6 tips)
Primary Responsibilities
- Take customer orders accurately using the POS system
- Assemble bowls at the cold well with customer's chosen ingredients
- Pass assembled bowls to wok cook for cooking
- Act as expo during slower periods - finish bowls with toppings and hand to customers
- Process cash, credit, and debit card transactions accurately
- Provide receipts and correct change following cash handling procedures
- Maintain clean and organized front counter and register area
- Provide friendly, efficient customer service
Secondary Responsibilities
- Help with front of house closing and cleaning during evening shifts
- Restock supplies as needed
- Assist team members during busy periods
Requirements
- Must obtain Food Handler's card (or have current certification)
- Comfortable using a smartphone or tablet for POS and digital systems
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Reliable and punctual
- Attention to detail with orders and cash handling
- Previous cashier or customer service experience preferred but not required
