Marketing Director

Marketing Responsibilities Overview 

     

 Daily & Weekly Responsibilities: 

  • Ensure execution of the Winning Hearts Everyday Strategy and assist in operations where needed 
  • Ensure all POP is current and update community board and marquis when appropriate
  • Manage Google Reviews & Respond to Customer Feedback
  • Social Media & Digital Marketing: Monitor accounts and respond to any guest correspondence | Minimum of 5 Facebook/Instagram posts per week  (with the exception of Sunday | Posts must promote the Chick-fil-A brand and meet Chick-fil-A Inc’s brand standards for social media | Team Member Tuesdays Posts (a post on social media that highlights one of our team members, one team member every 2 weeks)
  • Catering: Lead catering efforts in restaurant and expected to work with area leaders to coordinate all catering orders pickup & delivery 
  • Catering Delivery: Responsible for executing/managing all delivery orders (even orders outside of scheduled shifts) 
  • Engage with the community to drive sales and enhance guest experience through events, spotlight, sampling, and giveaways 
  • 1 yr into role: 50% of time must be spent assisting or working in restaurant operations (TBD)
  • Review and respond to Donation Request: You are responsible for reviewing donation requests as well as any communication regarding donation requests. Must submit all request to Operator for final approval.
  • Guest Recovery: Primarily Responsible for recovering guests on spotlight & responding to CARES Calls, Monitor Swipestorm guest recovery data and report trends & issues to Director Team


Weekly & Monthly Responsibilities: 

  • Plan and coordinate all restaurant and community events: Must execute a minimum of 2 community events or marketing initiatives at the restaurant per month (adhere to any Guardrails & Operational Requirements set by Chick-fil-A/Operator)
  • Responsible for coordinating all logistics and guest communication regarding marketing & community events: Required Annual Events: Daddy Daughter Date Night, Mother Son Date Night, Story Time, Battle of the Schools, Santa Cow/Christmas decorations & Christmas Lights install 
  • Chick-fil-A One Mobile Giveaways: Responsible for coordinating Mobile One Giveaways/Events and ensuring product and staffing needs are communicated to leadership team
  • Create and coordinate weekly sales contests (up-sale, check average, desert sales, mobile one scans) with team members)
  • Monitor rollout calendar/updates shared on the @Chick-fil-A Website and relay any necessary information to leadership team
  • Update price boards and menu boards in accordance to any rollouts
  • Keep community table displays along with any other displays in the restaurant up to date with national campaigns and local events
  • Attend all director meetings, and at least one FOH & BOH meeting per month
  • Attend San Antonio Marketing Meetings and coordinate any Market initiatives at the restaurant level


Community and school relationships

  • Develop relationships with community organizations and local schools through face to face visits, phone, and email contact
  • Schedule and coordinate Battle of the School Events with local schools
  • Manage requests for donations (no cash donations) according to donation guidelines
  • Remain up to date with major community events (School Events, Chamber of Commerce Events, Concerts, Festivals, Fundraisers)
  • Keep leadership team informed on major community events and communicate any expected change in sales volume 

Catering and Outside Sales

  • Seek out catering relationships with local businesses, schools, and organizations
  • Coordinate with operational leaders on all pick up & delivery orders 
  • Manage and execute all deliveries, ensure deliveries abide by the Op Requirements 
  • Ensure necessary catering supplies are on hand for standard orders at all times

Other Responsibilities/Expectations

  • Maintain marketing materials, costumes, and supplies
  • Ensure marketing closet, outside storage, and off site storage is organized and well maintained
  • Obtain approval for any marketing materials & adhere to monthly marketing budget of .5% of estimated total monthly sales
  • Ensure Real Food is being leveraged (Sampling, Whole product distribution)
