Born + Bread Bakehouse Night Baker
Our bakehouse is looking for a Night Baker to join our team. This role is responsible for baking fresh bread and pastries each morning, with shifts starting around 3am most days. Full-time and part-time schedules available.
Responsibilities
- Bake a variety of breads and pastries to the bakehouse’s standards
- Follow a structured bake schedule, managing dough prep, proofing, and timing so products are ready for opening
- Monitor quality and consistency of all baked goods, catching issues before they reach the racks
- Keep the bakery clean and organized during and after shifts
- Track ingredient levels and flag low stock
What we’re looking for
- Experience baking bread and pastries (professional baking experience preferred)
- Strong quality control instincts and attention to detail
- Able to stay focused and organized during early morning, independent shifts
- Comfortable working independently with minimal supervision
- Self-starter who takes initiative and solves problems on the fly
- Good communication skills, able to coordinate with management and communicate issues clearly
- Reliable and able to work early morning hours, typically starting around 3am
