We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Front or Back of House Shift Leader to join our dynamic team. As a Shift Leader, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our drive-thru or kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently while maintaining high standards of food quality and safety. You will lead by example, fostering a positive work environment and supporting your team in delivering exceptional service.
Duties
- Oversee daily drive-thru, front counter or kitchen operations, ensuring adherence to food safety and sanitation standards.
- Assist in managing kitchen staff, including training, scheduling, and performance evaluations.
- Ensure all food is prepared according to recipes and presentation standards.
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues that may arise during service.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the drive-thru or kitchen area, including equipment and storage.
- Monitor food costs and assist in budgeting for the kitchen department.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a leadership role within a restaurant setting is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of food management practices, including safety regulations.
- Excellent team management skills with the ability to motivate and train staff effectively.
- Familiarity with POS systems for efficient order processing.
- Proven experience in hospitality or restaurant management is an asset.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with staff and customers effectively.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as needed.
