Reports To: Service Captains, Food and Beverage Director
Works With: Prep Cooks, Line Cooks, Stewards, Bakers, Service Captains, Office Manager
Supervises: No supervisory duties are included in this position.
Education and/or Experience Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Minimum two years of comparable hospitality/customer service/food and beverage experience.
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment and capable of multitasking effectively.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to read, write, and execute basic math skills.
Job Knowledge, Core Competencies, and Expectations:
- Greet and acknowledge members and guests.
- Maintain knowledge of our a la carte menus, wine/spirits lists, and banquet offerings
- Learn and remember member names and preferences.
- Demonstrate high personal standards of hygiene, cleanliness, and safety.
- Follow all state and local health and food safety regulations.
Job Summary:
Flint Hills National Golf Club is seeking enthusiastic, professional, team driven, and service-oriented individuals to join our team! We currently have openings for both part-time and full-time servers to work in our Clubhouse member dining area.
Our dining areas are open six days a week (Tuesday – Sunday) for breakfast and lunch only (8:00 AM – 4:00 PM March – April and November December, opening at 7:00 AM May - October). Servers at Flint Hills National Golf Club are responsible for providing consistent, excellent food and beverage service to Club members and their guests. Servers at Flint Hills National are expected to:
- Be able to work independently and cohesively as part of a team.
- Promote an attitude of teamwork and volunteer to assist other team members both on the floor and with any assigned tasks.
- Complete all daily and weekly opening/closing side work.
- Attend all staff meetings and training.
- Learn and develop proficiency with JONAS point-of-sale system.
- Follow and adhere to Flint Hills National service standards and consistently strive to provide world-class service and experiences.
- Train and assist in other areas of the Club as needed.
- Present menus to members and guests and take orders, being willing and confident to answer questions and make personal recommendations.
- Learn and maintain knowledge of menu items, including beverage and banquet offerings.
- Manage their tables, paying constant attention to cleanliness and order.
- Communicate with members and teammates professionally and handle any complaints/problems with a positive attitude.
- Complete other appropriate work assignments as requested by supervisor(s).

Part-time hours: 20-30 hours/week. Must be able to commit to at least two (2) consistent shifts per week.
Full-time hours: 32-40 hours/week. Potential for occasional overtime hours.
All employees are given an event calendar and unless approved by supervisors will need to ensure their availability for those events.
Licenses and Special Requirements:
- Of legal age to serve alcoholic beverages (21+) required. This is key for this role. Any candidate under age 21 need not apply.
- Food safety certification (e.g. ServSafe) preferred
- Alcohol safety certification (e.g. TiPS) preferred.
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
- Required to stand for long periods and walk, climb stairs, balance, scoop, kneel, band, stretch, twist, and reach.
- Push, pull, or lift up to 50 pounds.
- Work in potentially hot, humid, and noisy environment(s)
- Perform job functions and assigned tasks with minimal supervision.
