Position Overview:
The Cashier is responsible for providing fast, friendly, and accurate service at the point of sale. This role involves handling transactions, assisting guests with questions, and supporting the restaurant team to ensure smooth operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet guests warmly and provide a positive first impression.
- Accurately process cash, credit, and digital payments using the POS system.
- Answer guest questions about menu items, specials, and promotions.
- Assist with order preparation, packaging, and pickup when needed.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the front counter and POS area.
- Collaborate with kitchen and front-of-house staff to ensure efficient service.
- Follow all cash handling, food safety, and sanitation procedures.
Qualifications:
- Previous cashier or customer service experience preferred but not required.
- Friendly, professional, and guest-focused attitude.
- Basic math and computer skills for handling transactions.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Lift up to 25 lbs occasionally.
