In 1976, Rich and Krista Haws moved their young family to Farmington. As fate would have it, their associations led to the assemblage of 8 farms – leading to the master-planned development we see today. The original plan was to construct a working community farm within the planned mixed-use development to help keep the feeling of the “Farm” in Farmington. After developing the Farm, the Haws family made the decision to turn their efforts toward helping those individuals and families struggling with addiction.
