Team Leader / Shift Leader

At Chick-fil-A Lincoln Park, Team Leaders play a critical role in shaping our culture, developing people, and delivering an exceptional guest experience every day. This role is designed for individuals who lead by example, care deeply about others, and take ownership of results.

Team Leaders work directly with Directors and the Owner-Operator to lead shifts, coach team members, and ensure excellence in food quality, service, and hospitality. This is a hands-on leadership role with clear opportunities for growth into higher leadership positions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coach, train, and develop team members in real time using clear expectations and positive accountability
  • Lead and manage shifts by setting the tone for excellence, urgency, and hospitality
  • Ensure food safety, quality, speed, and accuracy standards are consistently met
  • Execute daily operational plans and support business goals for the shift
  • Support staffing, break management, and shift deployment
  • Model Chick-fil-A standards in appearance, professionalism, and service
  • Address guest concerns with care and confidence, ensuring recovery and satisfaction
  • Communicate clearly with Directors regarding staffing, performance, and operational needs
  • Uphold Chick-fil-A Lincoln Park policies, procedures, and values
  • Assist with opening and closing duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Prior leadership or supervisory experience preferred (restaurant or hospitality experience a plus)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to coach, motivate, and lead a diverse team
  • Calm and effective under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented
  • Flexible availability, including nights and weekends
  • Ability to stand for long periods and lift 30–55 lbs as needed
