USDA Production Cook

Core Responsibilities:

Cook and pack food in a USDA-supervised production operation.

Clean and sanitize all production areas and equipment, including utensils, during and at the end of each shift.

Perform other warehouse-related activities related to order pulling, packing, and shipping when necessary.

Dispose of waste as necessary.

Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

Maintain cleanliness and organization in a food manufacturing facility.

Understand and follow the basic principles of making safe, quality food.

Follow established cooking, cooling, packing, and sanitation processes.

Able to interact professionally with on-site USDA personnel daily.

Work directly under the supervision of the kitchen manager.

Requirements:

Must be able to follow instructions

Organized

Reliable and Dependable

Able to work in hot and cold environments for long periods.

Able to climb, reach, bend, stoop and lift 60 lbs.

Able to work overtime and weekends as needed to complete production goals.

EDUCATION: High School Diploma or equivalent preferred

Experience: Cooking and Warehouse experience preferred

 

Work schedule

  • 8 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday
