Prep Cook Summer 2026

Fair Hills Resort is seeking a reliable and hardworking Prep Cook to join our kitchen team. Our kitchen serves anywhere from 2 to 250 guests per day and supports three departments: Bakery, Salad, and Prep. The Prep Cook plays an essential role in ensuring meals are prepared efficiently, safely, and to high quality standards.


Primary Responsibilities:

  • Prepare ingredients for daily meals, including chopping, portioning, mixing, and measuring
  • Assist with cooking, baking, grilling, and general meal preparation
  • Set up, restock, and help run the buffet
  • Serve food on the steam line during meal service
  • Maintain a clean and organized workstation
  • Follow safe food-handling and kitchen safety procedures
  • Work both independently and as part of a fast-paced team
  • Lift and transport heavy containers, equipment, or food items as needed
  • Contribute to a positive, professional, and respectful kitchen environment

Qualifications:

  • Previous kitchen or prep experience preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask
  • Ability to work well under pressure and adapt to changing needs
  • Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented


Prep Cooks typically work a morning shift, with the option to pick up an additional short evening shift.

Work schedule

  • 8 hour shift
  • Weekend availability
