Processing Operator

Full Time
Rate of pay$20 per hour

JOB OBJECTIVE: To ensure the efficient preparation and pasteurization of our fluid milk and the consistent high quality of our perishable dairy products through the execution of standards and operating procedures.


• Prepare products, yogurt, milk, butter, ice cream, etc., and ensure that the quality of the product meets or exceeds standards
• Prepare products within established time frame
• Receive and test raw milk (Charms Test)
• Prepare and complete data entry reports
• Minimize product loss
• Safely operate electric and manual pallet jacks, as needed
• Assist with the training of new pasteurizers and limited pasteurizers assistants
• Comply with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), and any/all established processes and policies, whether established by their manager, by the company or by law
• Follow all communicated health, safety, security, and emergency requirements
• Work in a safe manner and communicate any safety hazard to a member of management
• Participate in weekly team meetings, biweekly huddles, safety meetings and other Company meetings, as requested
• Ensure work is produced in the most sustainable manner
• Maintain excellent attendance
• Scheduling flexibility – to work different shifts when required and to work weekends to support operation of a 24/7 facility
• Other duties as requested

Full-time/Hourly - Graveyard shift 10:00pm - 6:30am
Non-exempt hourly

Physical Requirement:

• Ability to work in a manufacturing environment
• Extended periods of standing, squatting, walking, climbing, bending, stooping, pushing, pulling, and stooping, turning the head and torso, reaching, grasping, bending and flexing the arms, legs, wrists, hands, and fingers. – Repetitive at times.
• Full organoleptic (sight, smell, taste) as well as audio and vocal senses are necessary to evaluate and make sound decisions on product quality and production processes
• The ability to climb and balance is essential
• Ability to withstand temperatures ranging from -20° to 100° Fahrenheit
• Ability to work in confined spaces
• Ability to work in cold, wet, humid environments
• Ability to work in high allergen environments
•Ability to withstand noise produced by manufacturing and warehouse machinery up to 90 decibels
• Ability to lift, hold and/or carry 55 pounds, unassisted
• Ability to work on a computer and look at a computer screen for short periods of time

Job Requirements, Education and Experience:

• Previous experience in a food production/processing facility, preferred
• Successful completion of Milk Pasteurizer licensing exam will be required within 60 calendar days of hire
• Prefer those who can communicate verbally in English and Spanish with cross-functional team members, supervisors and other team members
• Prefer those familiar with or that have an aptitude for basic computer and inventory control programs
