Role Overview:
A Human Resources & Talent Director (“HR Director”) is one who consistently demonstrates our core values, embraces the Chick-fil-A culture and has a servant’s heart. They have a passion for people and serving others, have strong character, take initiative, understand the importance of details and work with a sense of urgency at all times.
The HR Director leads all people elements of the business. Through their competency and warmth, they lead the Team Members in taking good care of each other and our guests. This leader works with the Operator, BOH Director and FOH Director to ensure Operational Excellence and 2nd Mile Service is executed. They work with other leaders to maximize the current business opportunity. These leaders protect the Chick-fil-A brand by following Operating Standards.

Human Resources & Talent Director Responsibilities:
Recruitment:
- Ensure the pipeline of quality applicants remains full.
- Remain updated on new tools or strategies available in our hiring platform to attract applicants.
- Identify and pursue additional recruitment opportunities.
Selection & Onboarding:
- Constantly aware of the specific needs of the business and selects applicants who can fill those needs.
- Receive applicants, perform an initial screening.
- Schedule and conduct phone interviews, schedule and conduct in person interviews, and extend job offers.
- Complete onboarding process with new team members.
Development & Promotion:
- Maintain an environment of growth and opportunity for Team Members and Leaders.
- Ensure the training system is followed for each Team Member.
- Ensure Trainers and Team Leaders have opportunities for development in competency and warmth.
Team Member Accountability:
- Regularly review the Team Member Handbook and ensures policies are followed by Team Members.
- Ensure all Directors and Team Leaders and aware of policy, follow policy, and are holding Team Members accountable to policy.
- Share recommendations to the Operator of any necessary modifications or updates needed to policy.
Training:
- Oversee the design and assessment of the training curriculum.
- Oversee the training of restaurant Trainers, including creating regular opportunities to solicit feedback, share updates and motivate Trainers.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Open availability
- Prior experience as an HR professional, is not required, but is highly preferred.
- Human Resources educational training and development experience is not required, but highly preferred.
- Experience with HR, payroll, scheduling and training software (i.e. Workstream, HotSchedules) is not required, but highly preferred.
- Prior restaurant experience is not required, but is highly preferred.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong people skills with a desire to serve Team Members.
- Strong commitment to superior customer service.
- Ability to manage Team Member behavioral and performance issues.
- Ability to work in a team environment with shared ownership and responsibility.
- Understands the importance of executing operational excellence from a guest experience perspective and a business results perspective.
Chick-fil-A Personal Grooming and Appearance Standards:
- Piercings are allowed but limited to ears with simple studs, a single nostril with a simple stud. No other facial piercings are allowed.
- Fingernails must meet health department requirements and not extend past fingertips. No false fingernails allowed.
- Tattoos must not be visible on face or neck.
- Natural hair coloring is acceptable. Dying hair in natural colors is allowed. Dying hair in unnatural hues is not allowed.
- Facial hair- Short neatly groomed facial hair with defined cheek and necklines.
We ask you to:
- Have the ability to communicate effectively in English.
- Be at least 18 years of age.
- If hired, must obtain a Southern Nevada Food Handler Safety Training Card within 2 weeks of being hired.
