Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Lead Banquet Cook to oversee the preparation and execution of banquet events at Napoleon House. The ideal candidate will have leadership experience in a culinary environment, along with a strong background in banquet services. This individual will ensure the highest level of food quality and guarantee that all banquet events are executed seamlessly. Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and supervise a team of cooks, and kitchen staff during banquet events.
  • Plan and execute the preparation of food for large-scale banquets, ensuring consistency, quality, and presentation.
  • Collaborate with the event coordination team to ensure menu planning meets the needs of the client and event specifications.
  • Oversee food preparation, ensuring adherence to portion control, recipe standards, and presentation guidelines.
  • Ensure timely and efficient delivery of all banquet meals, maintaining high levels of service and guest satisfaction.
  • Monitor kitchen operations to ensure food safety and sanitation standards are strictly followed.
  • Manage inventory and ensure proper stock levels for banquet events.
  • Maintain a high level of communication with other departments to ensure smooth operations and guest satisfaction.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve any kitchen issues during banquet events, maintaining a calm and effective presence.

Qualifications:

  • Proven leadership experience as a Lead Banquet Cook in a high-volume kitchen environment.
  • Extensive experience in banquet services, including large-scale event production and coordination.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively lead a team and interact with other departments.
  • In-depth knowledge of kitchen operations, food safety regulations, and health standards.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed for events.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to event challenges.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with high-end, luxury banquet services.
  • Knowledge of dietary restrictions and accommodating specialized dietary needs for large groups.
  • Expertise in menu planning and developing creative, upscale banquet offerings.
  • Proficient in kitchen management software and inventory control systems
