Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Lead Banquet Cook to oversee the preparation and execution of banquet events at Napoleon House. The ideal candidate will have leadership experience in a culinary environment, along with a strong background in banquet services. This individual will ensure the highest level of food quality and guarantee that all banquet events are executed seamlessly. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and supervise a team of cooks, and kitchen staff during banquet events.
- Plan and execute the preparation of food for large-scale banquets, ensuring consistency, quality, and presentation.
- Collaborate with the event coordination team to ensure menu planning meets the needs of the client and event specifications.
- Oversee food preparation, ensuring adherence to portion control, recipe standards, and presentation guidelines.
- Ensure timely and efficient delivery of all banquet meals, maintaining high levels of service and guest satisfaction.
- Monitor kitchen operations to ensure food safety and sanitation standards are strictly followed.
- Manage inventory and ensure proper stock levels for banquet events.
- Maintain a high level of communication with other departments to ensure smooth operations and guest satisfaction.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any kitchen issues during banquet events, maintaining a calm and effective presence.
Qualifications:
- Proven leadership experience as a Lead Banquet Cook in a high-volume kitchen environment.
- Extensive experience in banquet services, including large-scale event production and coordination.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively lead a team and interact with other departments.
- In-depth knowledge of kitchen operations, food safety regulations, and health standards.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed for events.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to event challenges.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with high-end, luxury banquet services.
- Knowledge of dietary restrictions and accommodating specialized dietary needs for large groups.
- Expertise in menu planning and developing creative, upscale banquet offerings.
