The Bagel Hole was born from the lifelong dream of Gary and Cathy Trentacosta, New Jersey natives with more than 30 years of experience in the food industry. In June 2020, they opened their first shop in Cumming, Georgia, bringing authentic, handcrafted bagels and a true sense of community to the South. It didn’t take long for people to notice. That success caught the attention of Brett and Brad Bastecki, seasoned multi-unit operators who introduced Jimmy John’s to the Atlanta market in 2011 and grew it to 11 locations. As fellow New Jersey natives, they recognized something special right away about The Bagel Hole. These were real bagels, done the right way!
Today, the Bastecki brothers have partnered with the Trentacostas as franchise operators, united by a shared vision: to grow The Bagel Hole into a brand known for authentic New Jersey flavor, genuine hospitality, and a deep commitment to the communities we serve. With the Trentacostas’ incredible menu and products, combined with the Bastecki brothers’ proven industry experience, we believe The Bagel Hole is just getting started and well positioned for meaningful growth in the years ahead.
