Piatto is looking for experienced cooks with a passion for Italian cuisine, wood fired pizza, and eager to be part of small, cohesive team.

Candidates will play an active role in executing seasonal menu items along from our wood-fired oven. You will work amongst a growing and dedicated team.

JOB DUTIES
- Prepare all ingredients needed for daily service, or in advance using multiple cooking techniques; including daily dough preparation, ingredients for toppings, sauces, cheeses, etc...
- Stretching, building and cooking pizzas and calzones
- Working with seasonal ingredients
- General knife handling, food safety & sanitation knowledge
- Tending the wood fire
- Appetizer and salad building
- Executing menu items from start to finish. This includes preparation of ingredients, butchery of proteins, cooking and plating of dishes
DESIRED SKILLS
- Pizza stretching, building, and cooking, wood-fired cooking a plus
- Dough mixing, portioning
- 1+ year of kitchen experience is desired
- Dough Making, Enforcement of Safety / Sanitation Standards, Expediting, Inventory, Kitchen

WHAT YOU NEED
- Periods of standing and walking (5 to 7hrs)
- Ability to squat, kneel, bend, and reach frequently
- Ability to frequently carry heavy plates, glassware, and other dinnerware (30-50lb)
- Positive communication with guests using effective listening skills and asking thoughtful questions
