The hostess is the first employee to interact with arriving guests as they enter the restaurant.  It is their job to greet arriving guests and welcome and seat them.    Have good communication skills, a friendly personality, and the ability to respond to customers’ needs.  Team player, pitches in to help other servers as needed, clearing tables and replacing condiments on tables, and makes sure tables are clean and set before customers are seated. Must have a neat appearance according to the employee handbook. 

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES 

• Welcomes customers and distributes menus 
• Inquire if this is their first visit, if so give them an “Interview with Big Daddy” 
• Takes drink orders if needed 
• Monitor guest waiting list 
• Meet the needs of customers while they are waiting 
• Maintaining proper table settings and condiments 

AUTHORITY, RESPONSIBILITY & ACCOUNTABILITY 

• Is responsible for the satisfaction of all of our customers by being courteous and helpful, and providing high-quality service 
• Is responsible and accountable to Front of House Manager and or General Manager 
• Is responsible to participate as part of the FIRE Team, help out fellow team members as needed 
• Is responsible to have full working knowledge of the Dreamland Menu 
• Is responsible to follow Dreamland’s Safe Practice Guidelines 
• Is responsible for understanding the POS cash handling and procedures 
• Is responsible for reporting any and all complaints or concerns to the appropriate manager 
• Is responsible for maintaining a neat appearance and clean uniform 
• Is responsible to assure that their station is clean and prepared at all times
