What is it like to work at Haazs?

It's fast, it's loud, and it's a team. Haaz's is a from-scratch kitchen, which means no shortcuts and no auto-pilot — every plate that goes out has someone's hands on it, and that someone is going to be you or the person standing next to you. Lunch and dinner rushes hit hard. We move with urgency, we communicate in shorthand, and we look out for each other.
The vibe is family with high standards. Managers coach instead of bark. Mistakes happen — we own them, learn from them, and keep going. We don't do drama, we don't do gossip, and we don't carry attitudes onto the floor. What we do is bring energy to every shift, treat every guest like they're the most important person in the room, and leave the place better than we found it.
Off the line, it's the people. You'll work alongside servers, line cooks, prep, dish, and managers who actually know your name and your goals. We celebrate wins together, we cover each other on rough days, and we eat well — every shift comes with 50% off your meal.
If you want a job where you clock in, zone out, and clock out — this isn't it. If you want a place where the work matters, the people matter, and you walk out tired but proud at the end of every shift — welcome to the Haaz
What are the perks and benefits of working at Haazs?

Here's what you get when you work at Haaz's:
On every shift
50% off your meal during your shift, 25% off on your days off
Free fountain drinks and coffee during work
Flexible scheduling — we work with school, second jobs, and life
Tips for tip-eligible positions, distributed honestly and on schedule
The work environment
Real training. Nobody gets thrown to the wolves on day one. We teach the recipes, the stations, the systems, and the standards.
Coaching-first management. You'll get feedback, and you'll get the chance to act on it before anyone writes anything up.
A clean, safe, drug-free kitchen with proper equipment and proper backup.
A team that treats you like a teammate, not a number.
Growth
Cross-training across stations and roles, so you're never stuck doing one thing forever
Clear paths to higher-responsibility roles for people who want them
ServSafe, food handler, and other certifications supported when relevant to your role
Real input on how the place runs — your ideas reach the people who can act on them
The honest part
We don't currently offer health insurance, 401(k), or paid time off — we'll be straight with you about that. We're a growing operation, and we'll add benefits as we're able to do them right rather than promise them and not deliver.
What we do offer is consistent hours, a real wage, real tips, and a place where your work is seen and your growth is invested in.
What does career growth look like at Haazs?

Career growth at Haaz's is built around one principle from our company charter: "If it is to be, it is up to me." Show up, take ownership, and there's a path. We promote from within whenever possible — nearly everyone in a leadership role today started on a station.
The path looks something like this:
Crew → Station Lead. Once you've mastered your role and can train others on it, you move up to leading that station. You set the pace, you check the quality, and you're the first call when something goes wrong on your line. More responsibility, more pay.
Station Lead → Shift Lead. Now you're running the floor or the kitchen during your shift — opening, closing, handling guest issues, coaching newer team members, and keeping the standards tight. This is the proving ground for management.
Shift Lead → Assistant Manager → General Manager. Full operational ownership. Hiring, scheduling, P&L, vendor relationships, the whole thing. We invest in the people who get here — Performance Improvement Plans for skill gaps, real one-on-ones, real authority.
Then: Multi-Unit / Franchise Track. As Haaz's grows into more locations, we need people who already know our system to run them. If you've proven yourself at one store, the next one can be yours. This is the long game we're playing — building leaders alongside the brand.
What we look for in people who move up:
Accountability — you own the outcome, not just the effort
Coachability — you take feedback as fuel, not as criticism
Energy — you set the tone instead of waiting for it
Consistency — you show up the same way on day 100 as on day 1
If that's you, tell us in the application. We pay attention.
