Drive-Thru Operations Leader

Position Overview
The Drive-Thru Operations Leader is responsible for leading daily drive-thru execution by:
- Driving performance against key metrics (speed, order accuracy, guest experience)
- Ensuring systems and processes are followed and continuously improved
- Coaching and developing team members to execute at a high level
- Creating a culture of ownership, urgency, and hospitality in the drive-thru
This role requires hands-on leadership, operational excellence, and a strong ability to influence results through people.
Key Responsibilities
Drive-Thru Performance & Metrics
- Own drive-thru execution, achieving performance goals such as:
- Speed of Service (car/hour and/or seconds per order)
- Order Accuracy (goal of 98%+)
- Guest Experience scores (Top-tier CEM results)
- Analyze performance data and identify opportunities to improve throughput, accuracy, and sales
- Ensure proper drive-thru setup, staffing, positioning, and communication at all times
Systems & Process Excellence
- Ensure all drive-thru systems, procedures, and standards are followed consistently
- Identify gaps and lead improvements to workflows that increase efficiency and reduce errors
- Maintain readiness for peak periods through planning and preparation
Leadership & Team Development
- Lead, coach, and develop 15–20 team members during shifts
- Train team members on drive-thru roles, standards, and best practices
- Create clarity, accountability, and confidence for team members in fast-paced environments
- Promote Chick-fil-A culture, values, and hospitality standards
Shift Leadership & Operations
- Lead opening, mid, and closing shifts
- Ensure food safety, cleanliness, and operational standards are met
- Manage cash handling, deposits, and safeguarding of daily revenues
- Serve guests as needed—order taking, cash handling, drink/dessert prep, and meal delivery
- Maintain cleanliness of work areas, dining room, restrooms, parking lot, and playground
Planning & Execution
- Develop and execute monthly and quarterly goals aligned with annual business plans
- Successfully lead through the Think → Plan → Communicate → Execute → Follow-Up model
- Support overall restaurant operations while maintaining a primary focus on drive-thru success
Requirements
- Full-time availability with flexible scheduling (open, mid, close, Saturdays required)
- Minimum age: 18
- High School diploma or equivalent (post-secondary education preferred)
- At least 1 year of restaurant leadership or management experience preferred
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
- Proficient in English; bilingual preferred (Spanish or other)
- ServSafe Food Safety Manager Certification (or ability to obtain)
- Authorized to work in the United States
- Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand for up to 90% of a shift
- Ability to sit up to 10% of the time for administrative tasks
- Ability to lift 25–75 lbs repeatedly as needed
