What we expect:

Proper shoes and the ability to stand for long periods of time on cement are required. We proudly open our doors to ALL dogs; so applicants should be comfortable around all breeds, regardless of their age and size. We expect applicants to have reliable transportation.  

Work Schedule & Benefits: 

The Barking Dog is operates 365 days a year! Ideal applicants will be available for a variety shifts, plus weekends and holidays. A majority of your day will involve interacting with and supervising our dogs in the daycare and kennel. Various cleaning tasks will also be expected to be carried out at some point during each shift.

Salary: 

Kennel Technicians (AKA Pet Pros) start at $14.00/hour. Part Time positions lead to Full Time positions based on performance. There is always the potential for growth within the company if you are a passionate and hardworking pack member!

What is expected:

The Pet Care Assistant is an integral member of the Pet Services Team.  Pet Services is responsible for the health, safety, and comfort of our guests. This position supports all areas of the resort. This role directly works in the resort space of Dog Boarding and Daycare. The Pet Care Assistant's duties include cleaning boarding spaces, dishes, laundry, individual dog play sessions, walking dogs, along with other tasks around the pet resort.  Your hard work will be rewarded with plenty of animal snuggles, cuddles, kisses, and cuteness.

We are hiring for part-time. Weekend and Holidays are required.  Shifts could fall anytime between 6am-7pm. The ideal candidate is available at least 2 shifts per week, with a minimum of one weekend day.     This position is great for someone looking for an active side job with animals or someone looking for a start in the pet care industry.

Requirements:

• Ability to work a 40+ hour week
• At least 18 years of age
• Must be able to perform, teach and train all aspects of assistant manager, line employee positions, as needed
• Ability to handle fast-paced and high stress situations in the store
• Understand that in times of emergency extra hours and efforts will be required 
• Organize and establish priorities in the store with minimal supervision
• Willing to coach and task-manage employees on store operations

Responsibilities:

• Managers oversee all aspects of in-store operations, including but not limited to staffing/scheduling, food safety, inventory/stock ordering, merchandising, food cost/loss tracking, equipment maintenance, cash handling and brand compliance.  
• Managers lead by example in following all company directives, such as signing up Shore Point customers, engaging current rewards customers and ensuring the entire team follows suit on a daily basis to assist in growing loyalty base and retention.  
• The Manager is responsible for ensuring the store is in exceptional order and that all employees are performing duties properly and efficiently, keeping them productive and cleaning/prepping during slow times.  
• Managers must be self-motivated individuals who have superior leadership skills and execute systems and procedures with 100% integrity.

The Starbucks Barista is responsible for fulfilling orders and completing sales transactions within a Starbucks licensed store and performing other support functions which may include cleaning the food preparation, customer seating or stock areas and maintaining inventory; performs all other responsibilities as directed by the business or as assigned by management. Essential Functions:
